Ever want to experience one of the Phoenix area’s world famous haboobs (massive dust storms) in person? Well, you might just get your wish.
The latest forecast is for possible blowing dust Friday night with isolated thunderstorms throughout the day both Friday and Saturday.
A few of words of caution about this. Our thunderstorms tend to be very violent though they don’t often last long. There may be a lot of rain, thunder and lightning, and heavy winds for a short period of time. The temperatures generally don’t drop a lot during our storms. And people here are incredibly stupid drivers when it rains.
Also, the Antique Wedding House’s parking lot is a dirt lot. Most of the time this doesn’t cause any problems, but if it’s windy or rainy… well, you can see there might be some issues with dust and mud.
When we booked this wedding we knew that outdoor photos might be an issue due to the heat. Seems Mother Nature has decided to throw a bit more into the mix as well, so if you’re bringing a camera make sure the flash is working and, if you have the option, keep your aperture wide open and boost the ISO to 400 or higher.
See you all in a couple of days. Keep safe and dry!
